INDEPENDENT LIVING SERVICES

PROVIDES INDEPENDENT LIVING SERVICES TO DEVELOPMENTAL DISABLE ADULTS IN THEIR DAILY LIVING AREAS LIKE, BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO.

Supportive Living Services

SLS QUALIFICATION:

  1. Fingerprint clearance through Department of Justice.

  2. CPR and First Aid certified.

III. Staff is bilingual and trilingual. English, Spanish, ASL

IV. Staff possesses AA degree or one year experience.

V. Staff goes through an intense reference verification by our human resource department.

VI. Staff receive training before working with consumers which includes but not limited:

a.)Department of Developmental Services b.)Regional Centers
c.)Incident Reports
d.)Welfare Institutions Codes e.)Community Resources

f.)Franklin Lantermant Act g.)Development Center h.)Adult/Child Protective Services i.)Public Services

j.)DCFS, IHSS, and Section 8

1.) HOME OF ONE’S OWN

Individual live in home that they own, lease or rent like other members of their community.

Individual choose where they live and with whom, and they control what happens in their homes.

Individual’s housing separate from their services so they are secure in their homes and don’t have to move if their needs, or their services agency change.

Individuals are safe in their home and neighbor- hood.

2.) CHOICE AND SELF-DIRECTED SERVICES

  1. a)  Individuals make their own everyday choices.

  2. b)  Individuals plan for their future.

  3. c)  Individuals direct the services they receive and have choices of agencies and staff.

  4. d)  Individuals are supported (technology, com- municate devices, behavioral) to communicate their preferences, choices and needs.

  5. e)  Individuals are satisfied with the services they receive.

    3.) RELATIONSHIP

    Individuals have family, friends and neighbors who

    support them in regular ways or as paid help. 4.) COMMUNITY MEMBERSHIP

    Individuals fully participate in the measurement of community life according to personal choice and preference.

    Individuals have opportunities to join clubs,

    groups, organizations and religious groups.

    Individuals use local community resources and generic services.

    5.) FLEXIBLE, TAILOR SERVICE AND SUPPORT Individuals Service Plan are develop through a

    person-centered process.

    Service Plans reflect the support that each individuals wants and needs. Service plans change as wants and needs change.

    Individuals have the opportunity to increase their abilities, confidence, quality of life, and support to maintain an adequate level of health and safety.

WHAT IS JUDICIAL ASSISTANCE & SUPPORT (JAS)?

JAS PROVIDES ASSISTANCE AND SUPERVISION TO JUVENILES AND ADULT CONSUMERS WITH(OUT) COURT ORDERED AND DIVERSION PLAN IN APPROPRIATE COMMUNITY RESOURCES, SUCH AS:  

 

 

JUSTICE ASSISTANCE & SUPPORT

Judicial Assistance & Support works with juveniles and adults of regional center in the following Civil/Judicial Matters, but is not limited to:
